In February 2013, this diorama display scene was given to attendees of the New York Toy Fair 2013 Collector Party as part of the Yoda Chronicles promotion activities. The Toy Fair was held on held on February 9 & 10, 2013.
The diorama was included in a gift bag for 2013 Toy Fair media guests and features a Yoda minifigure, with gray hair and the “NY I ♥” torso print, standing on a street corner. The minifig was featured in a New York City diorama standing on the corner of 46th & Broadway holding a Yoda Chronicles newspaper with a “be here May 2015” headline. On the back of the diorama is an announcement referencing a launch event to be held in May in New York City. Only 150 of the dioramas were made; however, fewer were believed to have been given out due reduced attendance caused by a large storm closing roads and airports at the time.
It is interesting to note that this set includes the Yoda, NY I Heart Torso, Gray Hair (Toy Fair 2013 Exclusive) as opposed to the Yoda, NY I Heart Torso, White Hair (TRU Times Square 2013 Exclusive) that was given away to customers who purchased the specially packaged 9493 X-wing Starfighter from the Toys R Us on Times Square during the promotional event in May 2013 that saw Lego reveal a life-size version of the X-wing. The polybagged Yoda had white hair and “NY I ♥” printed on the torso. One thousand of the white-hair Yoda were produced, making the gray-hair Yoda in this diorama much rarer.
